Custom Glide Columns!
There are several Glide Columns in your TweetGlide App which are customizable, and can be turned on and off.
- The main, or Home Glide. This is where you will see posts from all of your “friends” or followers. Posts made by you are a different color, which allows you to see your posts quickly and easily. The @Mentions and Direct Messages can also be turned on or off in the Home Glide and are also a different color!
When others reply specifically to your tweets or you reply to others, the tweets become “threaded”, so when you read replies, they are attached to the message being replied to. No more confusion or searching for the original tweet! - Sponsored Tweets – as the name implies, this is where you view ads by other TweetGlide members, as well as your ads. This Glide can be turned off, but can not be moved from the second column as long as it’s turned on.
- @Mentions – an easy way to view any mentions of you. Now you know quickly when people are replying to your tweets, or mention you in other tweets.
- Direct Messages – view all messages sent to you, or all messages you have sent to others!
You can also create a Glide for Favorites, Filtered Searches, Groups and more. Open all the Glides at once, or toggle any of them on or off to create a totally unique experience!
Tweet More Than 140…
Ever have more to say than would fit in 140 characters?
Well, now you can!
TweetGlide allows you to create messages much longer than 140 characters – in fact, as long as you would like. Once you hit the “submit” button, here’s what happens…
TweetGlide will post the first 80 (or so) characters to Twitter, followed by a short message: [To read the rest of this post click here: http://example.com/AdnG
When the link is clicked they can read the rest of your post on the TweetGlide Blog! Now this becomes another avenue for posting your content, and be able to share it with your Twitter Followers without having to post multiple tweets on Twitter! Your blog is also customizable and only contains YOUR tweets!
Personal Tweets
Every time you use TweetGlide to tweet, you will earn 0.2 credit. In other words, 1 full credit for every 5 tweets. How hard is it to tweet 5 times? In fact, you probably already do!
You are, however, limited to earning 1 credit every 3 hours. This means that if you tweet 100 times in one hour, you will only earn one credit.
Why do we do this?
Simple - built-in spam protection. Imagine what would happen if every user could earn unlimited credits...it wouldn't be long before Twitter would be loaded with nonsense tweets by unscrupulous people just trying to build their credits! TweetGlide is not a spam tool for abusing Twitter. Spammers will be suspended without notice and banned for life. Their accounts will be reported to Twitter for spam.
After 3 hours, you will earn your next ad credit (5 tweets x 0.2 credit) and the 3 hour cycle starts again.
